At Belha Collection, we have chosen to embrace Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) with conviction, but also with humility.
Established on the Basque Coast in Ciboure, Biarritz, Anglet and Bayonne, our hotel group now comprises 7 establishments, each anchored in its territory and environment.
Aware of the environmental, social and territorial impact of our activities, we want to develop in a more sustainable way that respects people, the Basque region and natural resources. This page sets out the initial foundations of our CSR approach, our commitments, the actions we have already taken and the areas of work we will continue to develop over time.
Why a CSR approach?
Our CSR approach was born of a collective reflection based on several simple observations:

Reducing our footprint
- Waste sorting and recovery: bio-waste, glass, paper, plastic, edible oils and specific waste
- Reducing single use: gradual elimination of plastics, refillable containers, short distribution channels, etc.
- Energy optimisation: low-energy lighting, presence detectors, intelligent equipment control
- Responsible management of water and resources: limiting consumption, recovery and sustainable solutions
- Continuous improvement in the environmental performance of our facilities

- Supporting our partners in sustainable and responsible CSR initiatives
- Selection of products and services that respect the environment and people
- Promoting local players and short distribution channels in the Basque Country
- Continuous innovation to integrate solutions with a positive impact

We are aware that we have a long way to go, but we are moving forward with sincerity, taking into account the constraints of our business and the realities on the ground. We have opted for transparency, sharing both the progress we have made and the areas for improvement we have identified.
